At Lighthouse Foot & Ankle Center we are equipped to handle all of the podiatric needs of families in Southern Maine from routine checkups to diagnosis and treatment of complex foot health issues and surgery. Our practice combines the latest state-of-the-art technology with attentiveness to our patients resulting in the highest quality healthcare for lower extremity conditions. Our podiatrist, Dr. Michele Kurlanski, has over a decade’s experience treating patients in the Scarborough area and has earned their respect and trust by providing top notch care in a comfortable setting. Together with her professional staff, Dr. Kurlanski provides comprehensive podiatric care for all types of conditions including diabetic foot and wound care, heel pain, athletic injuries, fungal infections of toenails and skin, fractures, warts, arthritis, bunions, bone spurs, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, calluses, crush injuries and ingrown toenails. In addition we offer pediatric podiatric care, custom orthotics, KeryFlex Nail Restoration and Neurogenx Treatment for neuropathy. We also have an in-office podiatric medical store to make it quick and easy to get the products you need for home care. Early morning appointments are available at our conveniently located office and our friendly staff will see to it that your entire experience is pleasant and efficient. Michele Kurlanski
DPMDr. Michele Kurlanski is an experienced podiatrist and a caring clinical professional. She is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Care. Dr. Kurlanski is a graduate of the University of Rochester and received her medical training at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. From there, she completed her residency in foot and ankle surgery at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. She is also a board certified wound care specialist and has surgical privileges at Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital where she is the Division Chief of Podiatry. Dr. Kurlanski is a former president of the Maine Podiatric Medical Association.

Revenue Cycle DirectorCrystal Freeman comes to Lighthouse Foot and Ankle Center with over 20 years experience in the health care industry. Crystal is an AAPC certified coded and a certified medical practice executive. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding payer policies and insurance regulations. Her passion for compliance and the revenue cycle adds value to our practice. She keeps it plain and simple when communicating complex issues with our patients. Cheryl
Cheryl has been a valuable member of our team since February of 2016. She started at the front desk and transitioned to medical assistant. She is a Portland native and former Marine. She recently moved to Miami and will be working with us virtually. Her goal is to provide excellent customer service to each and every one of our patients. When not at work she loves spending time with her two children and going to the beach.
